Now in its 25th year, the ECH Tree collection is an extraordinary local event in support of this wonderful charity, which holds a very special place in many hearts. Nationally recognised, it has become the blueprint for similar projects in support of many hospice charities. In 2024, the ECH collection ran to approximately 80 tonnes of Christmas trees and raised in excess of a staggering £152,000 – all thanks to the incredible efforts of the organisational team and the volunteer army. We are delighted to have been able to partner with this project, with our team assisting with roadside collections and with our yard and woodchippers being used for processing the trees. We have also been able to utilise our network of industry partners to arrange for the trees to be recycled as biomass fuel, bringing a significant additional contribution to the appeal – a real win-win!
