Stump Grinder Demo
It’s not the most exciting video – but we realise that some people haven’t seen how a stump grinder works. Here we show our machine in action removing stumps to allow for the immediate planting of replacement trees and for re-landscaping works.
Another first for Swift
This week has seen us undertake our first ever installation of a fake owl into a tree in an attempt to deter pigeons from roosting. I think it’s fair to say we’re not overly hopeful, but we’ll let you know if it works! We’re contacting our suppliers to check the availability of plastic herons, vultures and dragons in case…
Part of the Team!
Macie’s keen to help with a major log-shifting operation. (So long as it’s not too cold!)
Commercial work for Clapham’s Landscapes Ltd
A wintry Saturday morning! This job had to be undertaken at the weekend when the car park would be empty. Three sycamores dismantled and removed for safety reasons given their poor condition and situation. A replanting scheme is being put in place. [Show thumbnails]
GoPro Video
This was our first attempt with our GoPro camera last year. A garden clearance project with the dismantling of some Norway Spruce trees. I should have filmed the stump grinding, but we ran out of battery at lunchtime!
Woodchipper Refurbishment
Christmas is a good time for us to hide indoors and do some maintenance on the gear! This year we have refurbished our woodchipper. It’s a vital piece of equipment for us, so we’re really pleased to have been able to give it some TLC! [Show thumbnails]
Poynton Inclines Winter Tidy
New Year’s Eve 2014 – blowing soggy leaf mulch off the Poynton Inclines. As we are working with Poynton Town Council and Cheshire Woodlands to implement a 20 year management plan on the inclines woodlands, we thought a bit of voluntary work to improve the underfoot conditions might not be a bad idea. Plus in the school holidays we can rope in a bit of extra labour!
I called in swift tree services to remove a 50 foot tree which was overhanging not only my office block but also both the data and voice feed to my business. I have nothing but praise for Adam and the team from Swift tree services, the tree was expertly taken down from around the data cables quickly and efficiently without the extra expense of calling BT to take down the cable and interrupt my business. Even more impressive was the Swift team regard to health and safety, every possible risk had been assessed and negated. An industrial accident on your premises would be the death knell for any business but with these lads you are in safe hands.
